‘Cost of removing cladding is ripping our lives apart’

Individuals residing in flats with Grenfell-model flammable cladding have reacted with anger to a authorities minister suggesting they will have to spend in direction of the value of replacing it on their own.

The Constructing Safety Minister, Lord Greenhalgh, states fees will be held “reasonably priced” and the authorities has established up a £1.6bn fund to fork out for repairing taller tower blocks. But flat leaseholders like Abi Tubis in Leeds say the money is nowhere in close proximity to enough.
